When the door of happiness closes, another opens; But often times we look so long at the closed door
That we don't see the one which has opened for us.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
Because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
find the one that makes your heart smile
Dream what you want to dream;
Go where you want to go;
Be what you want to be,
Because you have only one life And one chance to do all the things you want to do.

work attachment;
I was on work attachment for the past week and so didn't have time to blog abt it till today. i was attached to a gynae at Chan KH clinic located in Gleneagles hospital. a pity i wasn't born there if not i think i may have been more attached to it haha. anyway the past week has been really fun and i have seen LOTS of stuff that u normal ppl out there won't get to see. HAHA. wait till i list them all out. A brief description of what i saw the entire week: 1 normal delivery, 2 normal delivery with help of forceps, 2 caesarians, 4 minor procedures, 2 operations. Are all of u jealous now? i actually get to see new born babies just out of their mummies' tummies! haha. there's like the placenta, umbilical cord and of cuz the baby! it's really amazing and u can actually go wow looking at all that is happening. i shd think that the highlights of my attachment are the birth of these newborns. In the beginning, i felt really uneasy and queasy at the sight of blood and internal organs everything. esp my first day in the operating theatre: i had to stand for so long and there was like this pungent smell which is caused by the "burning"/cutting of the inner body parts! my legs practically went soft and the world was spinning ard me. i didn't even have any appetite after that! however, at the end of the week, everything's fine and i am now IMMUNE to those stuff hehe. i can now observe an operation without even flinching. oh and the coolest thing is i get to change into those sterilised shoes, wear an operation garb, put on a "shower cap" and a mask and enter the OT haha. One important thing that i have to tell everyone is... dun believe what is shown on tv serials! mothers in labour hardly feel anything at all and they are certainly not howling in pain cuz they have been injected with epidural-> know wad this is? hehe. so half the time they are just there breathing in deeply and pushing with all their might. Yes now i can also roughly read those black and white scans of babies. i know where the head, abdomen, stomach, liver, heart, spine, thigh is! haha now can u imagine the future gynae LEE at work?
